Torch Mobile joins the fray with their latest browser release

Seems the browser arena is getting mighty crowded recently!  Torch Mobile has announced a stable version of their Iris browser.  Based on the WebKit rendering engine, this one is available only for Windows Mobile devices.

The browser was available in its Beta form until recently and has now graduated to a stable version.  Here are some specs:

  • Touch Screen Key or Mouse Cursor Control with Zoom Functionality
  • Multiple Windows and Tabs
  • Global Language Support

  • Advanced Security Features including SSL and Authenticated Proxy Support
  • WML and XHTML Mobile Profile Support

Torch Mobile releases Iris Browser

There are a quite a few mobile browsers - both new and old - being release these days!  Seems the iPhone has everyone hopping to create a quality surfing experience on other mobile devices.  Torch Mobile has the Iris Browser, and it’s supposed to be pretty impressive (though I haven’t personally tried it yet).  Here is a snippet from their site:
