FriendMobilizer - Bringing Together Windows Mobile and Facebook

Tuesday, July 8th, 2008

Macrospecs, Inc. has launched FriendMobilizer, a mobile phone application that gives users full access to their Facebook account. Viewing friends’ info, writing on walls, looking at photo albums, and changing his/her status is a small example of the wide list of the features available to users at their fingertips. Not only does FriendMobilizer run on the majority of Smartphones and Pocket PCs, but the program is completely free and can be downloaded from http://www.FaceOfMobile.com.

Currently FriendMobilizer works on the Windows Mobile operating system, however the generic software platform that was developed for FriendMobilizer will allow porting this application to other operating systems easily. The company is currently working on expanding FriendMobilizer to other social networks, as well.

Mobile version of LinkedIn now available

Tuesday, February 26th, 2008

If you are a member of LinkedIn, they now have a beta mobile version of the site - http://m.linkedin.com.

Keep in mind, while the mobile version offers a search bar and the ability to view contacts, updates and your own profile, it is far from having the capabilities of the fully functional site.  Until they develop it further, you won’t be able to answer a question, update your profile, accept or decline invitations or reply to a job posting…

Still, for the networking professional, LinkedIn Mobile will come in handy.  Developers at LinkedIn said they’ll evaluate which platforms (iPhone, Blackberry, Windows Mobile, etc) they’ll develop for based on user and market demands.
