Bing mobile gets makeover

Wednesday, December 2nd, 2009

Bing mobile (and the Bing website) both got a makeover.  There are some nice touches to the mobile app, though I’m noticing it run slowly on my Touch Pro2…

It is much more finger-friendly.  I like the features they’ve added to the maps (see image).

Download it from your device (using PIE, not Opera) by going to m.bing.com

Live Search app rebranded to Bing

Wednesday, June 24th, 2009

If you have Live Search on your Windows Phone, open it and after a few moments, hit the Menu softkey - it will say there is an update available.  The update brings the Bing branding to the app, but so far, I’ve not seen anything else that is different.  Further updates are due some time later this year, incorporating more of what Bing is about.

Thanks to my brother Martin for discovering that last night and pointing it out to me!

Bing mobile site is here

Tuesday, June 2nd, 2009

Last week Microsoft transformed Live Search into Bing, and now the mobile version of the site is available.  Just point your mobile browser to m.bing.com and you’re there.

I’ve only just begun to try it out.  In the screenshot you can see that I added Louisville traffic to my Bing Home Page, which is pretty slick. I stumbled upon that feature (ability to add things to your Home Page), so gosh knows what other cool features it has.  Check it out for yourself!
