Windows Mobile Louisville

The Windows Mobile Louisville Community is a registered club with Microsoft Mindshare and we’re actively involved with software and hardware vendors of all sorts!  All are welcome - come one, come all!  Our main objective is to share and learn more about these awesome devices!  You do not need a Windows Mobile device to attend a meeting, however, if you don’t have one, we’ll caution you right now: you’ll want one after being at one of our meetings! :)

If you haven’t been to one of our meetings, you don’t know what you’re missing!  Everyone who attends a meeting walks away learning something!

Does it cost?

There is no cost to be involved with Windows Mobile Louisville.  The only “dues” there are is to participate!  Have a question?  Ask it on the Forum.  Have a tip?  Share it on the forum!  Want to see some hardware or software featured at a monthly meeting?  Suggest it on the forum!

We do ask that you use the links provided on this site to purchase hardware and software, as we have affiliate links with many of the vendors. By purchasing through Windows Mobile Louisville, you help us to defray the costs of web hosting and other Club expenses we incur. It also aids the Club in obtaining future titles for door prizes! The more active the site is, the more it helps us all!

When we meet

Thanks to the Windows Mobile Louisville website, we enjoy a sense of community, whenever convenient, via the Discussion Forum.
We physically meet on the 4th Tuesday of each month.  The meeting begins at 6:30pm, and lasts until 8:30pm.

Where we meet

IMPORTANT UPDATE! As of February 2008, we are meeting at a new location. Please make note of that!

We now meet in the conference room of Peak 10 in Louisville. Peak 10 is located at 752 Barret Ave*, Louisville KY.

*Peak 10 has two buildings on Barret. Their main building is at 733 Barret - we are meeting in the second building at 752, right across the street. See this map for reference.

The meeting room is fully equipped with a projector and large screen, which will make viewing easy for all attendees! Note the comfy chairs as well!

Our meetings are held at Peak 10 in Louisville.

Our agenda is typlically sent out in our email reminders.  If you wish to be included in those reminders, please contact us!

We also encourage attendees to share things they use which we might not have explored.  Our discussions are primarily based on Windows Mobile, but we’re always willing to check out other devices as well as apps & technologies of interest to the group!  We have a few converts to iPhone who still attend meetings (which is great!), and I’ve even invited some Android and Palm Pre users to attend as well!  Having broad general knowledge of all offerings out there makes us better informed consumers!

We are now in a routine of ordering pizza early on in the meeting, so if you are interested in partaking of some pizza, bring a few bucks!  Sodas are generously provided by Peak10.
