Torch Mobile releases Iris Browser

There are a quite a few mobile browsers - both new and old - being release these days!  Seems the iPhone has everyone hopping to create a quality surfing experience on other mobile devices.  Torch Mobile has the Iris Browser, and it’s supposed to be pretty impressive (though I haven’t personally tried it yet).  Here is a snippet from their site:

Iris Browser™ for Windows Mobile® 6 Professional and Smartphone is now available for free download! Simply register with us by providing your name and contact information and download the CAB to your PC or directly to your phone. Then follow along as Torch Mobile makes regular improvements to the browser, adding new features, making it faster, and generally improving the user experience.

Please remember that this is early preview software and does contain many known flaws. You can expect it to crash or misrender on some sites. It will be updated frequently. You are encouraged to check back at this page often for updates, or make use of the built-in update feature in the browser.

The browser has been tested on the Motorola Q9 and HTC TyTN II, but should work on other devices as well. We have reports that the browser does not work well on the Samsung Blackjack. Please also note that it is only built for Windows Mobile version 6 (Pro, Smartphone), and we recommend 400MHz CPU and 128MB of RAM at this time.
